Ever since I was a child, colors attracted me and I liked how makeup underlines the features of the face, enhancing one’s beauty. I always always watched my mom doing her makeup and admired her beauty and sometimes even used her makeup when no one was watching me 🙂 At the age of 13, I got a big makeup box as a gift from my father, which, you can imagine, made me extremely happy. What I liked and fascinated me was not in my power to make as well. The interest in makeup stayed with me for the duration of my school and college years, when I was a part of the makeup and styling department of the school.

But, without knowing to explain how my life’s path took another direction. In other words, I ended up specializing in software engineering. Yes, it has nothing to do with makeup but learned to collaborate effectively. As I realized that the art of makeup was for me more than just a passion. I wanted to make it my profession, my everyday activity, because I believed that a well-done makeup can transform a person, and not by creating a mask, but by bringing out the most beautiful features of the face.

So, I decided to change the direction my life took and pursue my desire of becoming a makeup artist. Thus, in 2016, I got my certification in advanced makeup and special effects at the Ryerson University, by being a student at the G. Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education, a school that treats subjects like beauty, character, theatre, special effects, film, and TV. Out of the desire to become a true professional and give my clients the best services, I continued my education and in 2017 I got my certification in Makeup Artistry, after following the MasterClass program led by Mario Dedivanovic. I worked as intern with Sarah Seidman Vance, Two Time Emmy® Nominated Award Winning Makeup Artist in September 2019.

I must say that I consider myself lucky, as I managed to get involved in many projects since my graduation and used the acquired skills in making many women put their beauty in the spotlight. Thus, I have been doing both beauty and Asian bridal makeup. While I prefer clean beauty makeup, I will not say no to the chance of doing creative and high fashion makeups as well. I can do this kind of makeup as well and used the few occasions I got in this sector to train my skills and abilities.
